Jefferies’ M&A team in New York is currently seeking Analysts to support mergers & acquisitions and strategic advisory assignments across multiple industries. The role offers significant responsibility in both pitching and live deal execution.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of M&A and advisory transactions.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations for pitches and live deals.
- Build and utilize detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, and multiples-based analyses
- Draft materials including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management and lender presentations, and prospectuses.
- Conduct industry research, analyze business plans, and review detailed financial information.
- Participate in due diligence processes and drafting sessions.
- Prepare internal deal memos and coordinate across senior and junior deal team members.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Required background and qualifications:
- At least one year of M&A related experience (direct investment banking experience, consulting or valuations)
- Strong technical skills, including financial modeling and valuation.
- Strong written and verbal communication ability.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously; high attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Self‑starter who can operate independently as well as within deal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance.
